Major Breakthrough for Kaladhungi Police Under “Operation Prahar”

₹25,000 Rewarded Accused in Murder Case Arrested from Haldwani

Haldwani/Kaladhungi: Under the ongoing “Operation Prahar” campaign against absconding criminals, launched on the directions of SSP Nainital Dr. Manjunath TC, Kaladhungi Police achieved a major success by arresting a wanted accused carrying a reward of ₹25,000 in a murder case.

According to police officials, the accused was wanted in FIR No. 37/2026 registered at Kaladhungi Police Station under Section 103(1) of the BNS. Continuous raids were being conducted at all possible hideouts to trace and arrest the accused. The operation was carried out under the supervision of SP Haldwani Manoj Katyal and the leadership of Kaladhungi SHO Arun Saini.

Police said that the accused had allegedly assaulted Vaibhav Kumar, causing severe injuries. During treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries. Considering the seriousness of the case, SSP Nainital had announced a reward of ₹25,000 on the accused.

Acting on technical surveillance and continuous search operations, the police team successfully arrested the accused from near Gate No. 4, Ramji Vihar, Devalchaur Road area in Haldwani. Further legal proceedings are underway.

The arrested accused has been identified as Mukul Jain, son of Ramesh Chandra Jain, resident of Gangotri Vihar, North East Delhi.

Nainital Police stated that the “Operation Prahar” campaign against criminals will continue with full effectiveness in the district.
