Nainital Police Celebrates Promotions: Amit Kumar Saini Elevated to Additional Superintendent of Police, Sunil Bisht Promoted to Inspector

Nainital ,,Wednesday marked a proud and celebratory occasion for the Nainital Police as a dignified “Pipping Ceremony” was held at the Police Lines, Nainital, to honor the promotion of Haldwani Circle Officer (CO) Amit Kumar Saini to the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) and Sub-Inspector Sunil Bisht to the rank of Inspector.
During the ceremony, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Manjunath T.C. adorned the officers with their new rank insignia and congratulated them on their promotions. He praised both officers for their exemplary service, dedication, and significant contributions to maintaining law and order throughout their careers. Expressing confidence in their abilities, the SSP said they would continue to serve the public with even greater commitment in their new roles.
Distinguished Service of Amit Kumar Saini
A 2017-batch Provincial Police Service (PPS) officer, Amit Kumar Saini has built an impressive service record. He has served as Circle Officer in Rudrapur, Pantnagar, and Kashipur in Udham Singh Nagar district, as well as in Karnaprayag and Chamoli in Chamoli district. In Nainital district, he has successfully handled key circles including Bhawali, Lalkuan, Ramnagar, and is currently serving as Circle Officer, Haldwani. In recognition of his outstanding performance, he has been awarded the Commendation Service Medal on two occasions.
Sunil Bisht Promoted to Inspector
Sunil Bisht, who has been promoted from Sub-Inspector to Inspector, has served with distinction in various police stations across Udham Singh Nagar, Almora, and Nainital districts. His promotion is widely regarded as recognition of his professionalism, dedication, and efficient policing.
Officers Extend Congratulations
The ceremony was attended by SP Nainital Dr. Jagdish Chandra, SP Telecommunications Revadhar Mathpal, CO Nainital Anjana Negi, CO (UT) Ankit Thapliyal, CO (UT) Vinay Singh, Reserve Inspector Harkesh Singh, along with several other police officers and personnel. Colleagues congratulated the newly promoted officers, offered sweets, and wished them continued success in their careers and public service.
