Nainital Crackdown on Crime: Ramnagar Police Nab 3 Dacoits in Robbery Case, Seize 3 Illegal Pistols

Ramnagar. Scooter-borne robbers had held victims at gunpoint; SSP’s strict orders lead to arrests in just 3 days. Police recover 3 illegal pistols, scooter, and cash.
Ramnagar police have arrested three notorious robbers in a sensational dacoity case. The incident occurred on April 29 in the Maldhan Chaor area, where four miscreants chased and looted Surjeet Singh and his son. Following the FIR at Ramnagar station, SSP Nainital Dr. Manjunath TC ordered a special team for swift action.
The Robbery Incident
Surjeet Singh (resident: Tumdiya Dam II, Maldhan Chaor) was returning home from Hathidangar in vehicle UK18N-7913. Two scooters tailed them, stopped the vehicle, and at gunpoint, snatched Rs 10,000 cash and a mobile phone. FIR No. 128/26 under BNS Sections 115/309(4)/351(3) registered.
Accused and Recoveries
Arrested on May 2 from Ampokhra Range:
Ayush Chanyal alias Anshu (21), Devi Pur, Ramnagar.
Anil Bisht (22), Matkot, Almora (current address: Veer Bhumi Colony, Kashipur).
Prince Kumar (18), Maldhan No.7, Ramnagar.
Seized: 3 pistols (315 bore), the crime scooter, Rs 7,200 cash. Additional cases under Arms Act.
SSP Dr. Manjunath TC stated, “Hooliganism ends in jail.” Police team includes SI Birendra Singh Bisht, ASI Prem Ballabh Joshi, and 4 constables. Accused produced in court.
