Appeal to Public: Use Electric and Public Vehicle। In view of the increasing pressure on the supply of fuel, food items, and fertilizers due to the ongoing global crisis in West Asia, and in line with the call for frugality and fuel conservation by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, as well as the appeal issued by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Ji to the people of the state, the head of Nainital Police has today initiated an exemplary effort, demonstrating simplicity and dedication by putting these directives into action on the ground.

SSP Nainital’s Initiative: Walking to Convey the Message

In this sequence, with the aim of achieving meaningful results, Senior Superintendent of Police Nainital Dr. Manjunath T.C. today walked from his residence to his office in Haldwani. This step has not only sent a positive message within the police department but also among the general public.

Directions for Subordinates

SSP Nainital has issued instructions to all police officers and employees in the district:

▫️ Use Vehicle Pooling (shared vehicles) for commuting to and from the office.

▫️ Minimize the use of private vehicles.

▫️ Prioritize public transport to contribute to fuel savings as well as environmental conservation.

SSP Nainital’s Appeal to the Public:

SSP Nainital appeals to the general public: “Given the global circumstances, energy conservation is the biggest need of the present time. For the sake of national interest and future security, fully cooperate in this campaign. Use electric vehicles, avoid unnecessary use of petrol and diesel-powered vehicles. If necessary, opt for public transport.”
