Successful Public Service Camps Organized Under the Direction of the District Magistrate in Haldwani Wards 55 and 56,

Haldwani, – Under the guidance of District Magistrate Vandana, successful public service camps were organized on Monday in Ward 55 (Janmilan Center) and Ward 56 (A-1 Garden, Jeetpur Negi, Rampur Road) of Haldwani Municipal Corporation. A large number of citizens attended these camps and availed themselves of various departmental services.

Officials from the Electricity, Water Board, Irrigation, Supply Department, and Municipal Corporation were present at the camps. Citizens directly submitted their problems to the respective department officials.

  • Under the Aadhaar service, a total of 20 Aadhaar cards were created and updated.
  • The Electricity Department registered 3 complaints related to new meter installations, connection transfers, and hanging electric wires, with necessary actions in progress.
  • The Supply Department addressed 9 complaints including changes of address and name additions in ration cards and issues related to online processes. Priority was given to a complaint from a differently-abled citizen.
  • Complaints related to streetlight installations and repairs were received under the Municipality, and inspections and actions have been initiated.
  • Several applications for marriage registration under the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) were also received.

District Magistrate Vandana informed that review meetings were held with councilors regarding city issues on August 1, 2, and 3. As per suggestions from those meetings, these camps are organized to ensure citizens receive essential services near their homes.

Councillor Amit Bisht from Ward 55 and Councillor Bhagirathi Devi from Ward 56, along with all departmental officials, participated in the camp. Citizens expressed their gratitude to the district administration for organizing these useful camps.

The next public service camp will be held on Tuesday, August 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Siddheshwar Temple grounds in Ward 54 and Kanta Banquet Hall in Ward 53.

The district administration has urged citizens to participate actively in these camps and avail themselves of the departmental services and important benefits such as marriage registration.
