Successful Organization of Public Service Camps in Haldwani,
Haldwani, August 19. ,As per the directions of the District Magistrate, public service camps were successfully organized on Monday in Haldwani Municipal Corporation area. The camps were held at Siddheshwar Temple premises (Ward 54) and Kanta Banquet Hall (Ward 53) from 10 AM to 2 PM, witnessing enthusiastic participation from citizens.
Officials from departments such as Electricity, Food & Civil Supplies, Jal Sansthan, and Municipal Corporation were present and addressed grievances on the spot. Under Aadhaar services, a total of 82 Aadhaar cards were generated or updated.
The Electricity Department registered 13 complaints related to non-receipt of bills, low voltage, meter registration, and unsafe wiring. The Food & Civil Supplies Department received 10 complaints regarding ration card corrections, new connections, and online process issues. The Municipal Corporation handled 10 complaints, of which 7 streetlight repair cases were resolved immediately, and 3 requests for new streetlight installations were forwarded. Meanwhile, the Jal Sansthan registered 2 complaints related to low water pressure and disrupted supply.
Public applications were also received under the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) marriage registration services.
The camps were attended by Ward 53 Councillor Mr. Rajesh Pant and Ward 54 Councillor Mr. Harendra Singh Bisht along with departmental officers. Citizens appreciated the initiative for saving their time and resources while strengthening direct dialogue with the administration.
Continuing this initiative, the District Administration announced that a similar camp for Wards 51 and 52 will be organized at Jan Milan Kendra, Haldwani on Tuesday, August 20, 2025. Citizens are encouraged to participate in large numbers and register their issues for timely redressal.
