SSP Nainital Returns 206 Lost Mobile Phones to Owners as New Year Gift,,

Haldwani,,SSP Nainital Dr. Manjunath T.C. brings smiles to 206 complainants by returning lost phones worth over ₹33 lakh.SSP Nainital Dr. Manjunath T.C. handed over 206 lost mobile phones to their rightful owners, giving them a special New Year gift.From November to December, Nainital Police received reports of lost mobile phones of various brands through the Nainital Police Mobile App and CEIR portal.Taking note, SSP Nainital issued strict instructions to the district-level Mobile App Cell to recover the phones. Under the guidance of SP Crime Dr. Jagdish Chandra and SP City Haldwani Shri Manoj Katyal, supervision of Shri Amit Kumar Saini (Area Officer Ops Haldwani), and leadership of Inspector Shri Ganesh Singh Manola (In-charge Mobile App/Cyber Cell), the police team traced the phones based on complaints.Using IMEI numbers via the CEIR portal, the team recovered the devices from various districts in states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
