Important MOU Signed Between UOU and KRC, Special Focus on Skill Development for Agniveers – Governor Extends Congratulations,,

An important Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed today between Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) and Kumaon Regimental Centre (KRC), Ranikhet. This initiative will provide new opportunities for high-quality education and modern skill development, especially for the military community, including Agniveers.During the MOU signing, key officials from the university were present under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Naveen Chandra Lohani, including:Prof. Girija Pandey, Director RSDShri Khemraj Bhatt, RegistrarDr. J.S. Rawat, Regional Director, RanikhetSmt. Ruchi Arya, Assistant Regional Director, RanikhetThe program was led by KRC Commandant Brigadier Sanjay Kumar Yadav, VSM. He stated that Skill Enhancement Courses are extremely essential for the bright future of Agniveers. He requested the university to specifically develop and provide courses in State Management, Hospitality Management, Digital Literacy, and AI-based programs. He emphasized that modern skills will enable Agniveers to secure better career opportunities both during their service period and after.Uttarakhand’s Honorable Governor expressed delight over this significant agreement and congratulated both UOU and KRC. He described it as an inspiring and far-reaching initiative in the field of education and skill enhancement for the military community.Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lohani assured that the university will give top priority to developing these courses and will continue to provide sustained cooperation for the educational upliftment of the military community.This MOU will prove to be a step that opens a new gateway for skills and education for soldiers and Agniveers.
