High Tea Program at Raj Bhavan on Independence Day; Release of Two Books,

Dehradun – On the occasion of Independence Day, a high tea program was organized at the Raj Bhavan, which was attended by the Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd), Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, and several other dignitaries.

On this occasion, the Governor and the Chief Minister released the book “Samvaidhanik Netritva Prerak Abhivyakti” (“Inspirational Expressions of Constitutional Leadership”). Published by the Raj Bhavan Information Complex, the book compiles the Governor’s addresses in assembly sessions, as well as speeches delivered on State Foundation Day and Republic Day.

The coffee table book “Ek Shaam Sainikon Ke Naam – 2025” (“An Evening Dedicated to Soldiers – 2025”) was also released during the event. Prepared by the Uttarakhand Soldiers Rehabilitation Organization, this publication documents and preserves the diverse activities of the events organized on 14 January 2025 (Armed Forces Veterans Day) at Raj Bhavan, Dehradun, and on 11 June 2025 at Raj Bhavan, Nainital.

The program was graced by former Governor of Maharashtra and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Bhagat Singh Koshyari, former Chief Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Cabinet Ministers Ganesh Joshi, Subodh Uniyal, and Satpal Maharaj, along with Members of Parliament, MLAs, other eminent personalities, and senior administrative officers.
