Haldwani Launches Cleanliness Fortnight on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Birthday,

Haldwani, September 17: On the occasion of the birthday of the esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Haldwani Municipal Corporation launched a cleanliness fortnight as per government directives. Mayor Gajraj Singh Bisht, along with Municipal Commissioner Richa Singh, municipal officials, and councilors, flagged off a cleanliness chariot to spread awareness on cleanliness throughout the city.The cleanliness chariot will tour various wards, intersections, and public places to motivate citizens toward maintaining cleanliness and protecting the environment. During its journey, the chariot will engage people by asking questions related to environmental hygiene, and those who answer correctly will be awarded prizes on the spot.Mayor Gajraj Bisht emphasized the importance of active citizen participation to make Haldwani a green and clean city. The fortnight of cleanliness will run from September 17, the Prime Minister’s birthday, until October 2, Gandhi Jayanti. During this period, multiple cleanliness drives, awareness programs, and participatory activities will be organized by the municipal corporation to achieve a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful Haldwani.This initiative is part of a widespread campaign to foster community involvement in maintaining sanitation and environmental protection, reflecting a collective commitment to a healthier city and environment.
