Grand Fancy Dress Competition & Cultural Programme by Mahila Lions Club, Haldwani on Janmashtami,
Haldwani, – On the occasion of Janmashtami, the Mahila Lions Club, Haldwani, organised a grand fancy dress competition and cultural programme titled “Kanha Ke Rang Bachon Ke Sang” at Rudraksh Banquet Hall, Nawabi Road, Haldwani, on Wednesday.
Club President Kusum Digari and Secretary Tanuja Joshi informed that the event commenced with Saraswati Vandana and lamp lighting by the club members. The chief guests for the occasion were Sumitra Prasad and Renu Adhikari.
Competition Results:
- Infant Category (1 day – 2 years, costume-based)
- 1st Prize: Harshvardhan Kwara
- 2nd Prize: Anirudh Singh
- 3rd Prize: Manvi Negi

- Children’s Category (3 – 5 years, chants & costume)
- 1st Prize: Trisha Gupta

- Women’s Category – Krishna Bhog Thal Competition (based on decoration, variety, and presentation of offerings)
- 1st Prize: Kusum Lata Kesadwani
- 2nd Prize: Manna Pargaai
- 3rd Prize: Rashmi Tandon

The cultural programme featured beautiful performances by children and women, showcasing Krishna devotion and the festive spirit of Janmashtami.
At the conclusion, President Kusum Digari expressed gratitude to all participants, judges, guests, and distinguished citizens who contributed to making the event grand and successful.
