Grand Christ Festival Celebration Showcases Christian Unity and Love in Kumaon,,

Haldwani। The Christian community organized a grand Christ Festival (Christmas celebration) at the auditorium of St. Teresa School. The event was successfully conducted and led by the Kumaon Christian Association, featuring enthusiastic participation from the Christian community across the entire Kumaon region.The highlight of the program was the Carol Singing Competition, which was made impactful and dignified through the invaluable contribution of the Catholic Diocese Commission for Sacred Music team. The strong leadership of Kumaon Christian Association’s senior servant of the Lord, Rev. H.P. Joseph, and Father Derrick Pinto made this gathering particularly memorable. They motivated all pastors and churches in Nainital district to participate in the choir competition.Around 30 churches’ pastors and believers took part in the event. All participants and attendees praised the program, describing it as spiritual, joyful, and inspiring.Participating churches delivered exceptionally melodious and heartfelt performances in the Carol Singing Competition. According to the judges’ decision, the first prize was awarded to St. Teresa Church, the second to Assembly of Believers Church Haldwani, the third to Assemblies of God Church Kathgodam, and the consolation prize to Gethsemane Church Haldwani. All winning and participating teams were commended for their excellent efforts.Santa Claus’s special appearance and captivating dances were a source of joy for the children. Santa distributed candies among the kids, sparking special excitement and happiness, filling the atmosphere with cheer.This program was held to commemorate the birth of Lord Jesus Christ, aiming to further ignite love, faith, and devotion towards Him among the Christian community. On this occasion, Father Ashok Masih shared the true meaning of the Lord’s birth through a Bible-based message in simple and effective words, spiritually encouraging the gathered crowd.The event saw the dignified presence of pastors from St. Teresa Church Kathgodam, Central Methodist Church Haldwani, Assembly of Believers Church Haldwani, Assemblies of God Church Kathgodam and Haldwani, among others. These included Pastor Pankaj Singh, Pastor Alok Naskar, Pastor Amivasha, Pastor Akash Masih, Pastor Vikram Singh, Pastor Rakesh Kumar, Pastor Happy William, Pastor Wilson Joseph, Pastor Bhanupratap Rawat, Pastor Sunil Masih, Pastor Sukumar Suraj, Pastor Arun Trikoti, Pastor Sanjay Solomon, Pastor Kamaljeet Paul (Gospel Band), Pastor Satish Singh, Pastor Azeem Ansari, Pastor Trilok Singh, Pastor David Lucas, Sister Kusum Rose, Sister Smitha Matthew, Pastor Rajiv Saxena, and Pastor Jacob Julius, along with many other servants who actively contributed to the event’s success.In conclusion, on behalf of the Kumaon Christian Association, program conductor Pastor Rajiv Saxena extended special thanks to St. Teresa Church and their priest committee for their excellent arrangements and hospitality through food service.
