Grand Celebration of the First Prakash Purab of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Gurudwara Shri Guru Dukh Nivaran Sahib in Haldwani,

At Gurudwara Shri Guru Dukh Nivaran Sahib, located in Rajendra Nagar, Rajpura Lane No. 2, Haldwani, the first Prakash Purab (inaugural celebration) of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion on August 23 and 24, 2025. This auspicious event will witness the arrival of renowned Kirtan Jathas and religious storytellers from various states of India.

The celebration will provide a wonderful opportunity to immerse the congregation in the spiritual essence of Gurbani and spread the sacred teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Devotees will have the chance to nourish their minds and souls with the divine words of the Guru.

On Sunday, August 24, the special gathering will be held from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and then again from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM within the gurudwara premises. During the congregation, an uninterrupted Langar (community meal) will be served from 12:00 noon, welcoming all devotees to partake in the freely offered meal.

The Gurudwara Management Committee has appealed to all residents of Haldwani and nearby areas to attend this sacred event, be part of the religious service, and make their lives meaningful by imbibing the great teachings of the Guru.

In a meeting held today at the Gurudwara premises, the chief sevadar S. Ranjit Singh, deputy chief sevadar S. Fateh Singh, general secretary S. Harvinder Singh, spokesperson S. Inderjit Singh, media in-charge S. Harpreet Singh, along with other congregation members, were present. They requested the local community to actively participate in the event and contribute to the service and collective harmony.

This Prakash Purab will not only be an expression of deep reverence towards Guru Granth Sahib Ji but also a festival that brings the congregation together, promotes social harmony, and fills everyone with spiritual energy. The event will feature devotional singing (Kirtan), religious discourses, and Langar service that will enliven the entire Haldwani area.

As every year, this year too, a large number of devotees are expected to join this religious gathering, receive the blessings of the Guru, and attain peace and solace of mind.
