Financial Assistance for Dharali Disaster Victims by The Scholars Academy & Ghanshyam Oli Child Welfare Society,
Pithoragarh,,To support the families affected by the Dharali disaster, Ghanshyam Oli Child Welfare Society and The Scholars Academy, Pithoragarh handed over a total amount of ₹21,000 to the District Magistrate of Pithoragarh, Mr. Vinod Goswami.
Today, the school’s Principal Jagjyoti Joshi and the Society’s President Ajay Oli presented the amount to the District Magistrate. They informed that the school community – teachers and students – collectively raised this fund to help reconstruct the homes of those who lost them in the disaster.
The District Magistrate appreciated this initiative, saying — “This is the first school in Pithoragarh that has stood by the disaster victims in such a difficult time, setting an inspiring example for others to come forward and contribute to relief efforts.”
President Ajay Oli further stated that the Society will provide lifelong free education, along with accommodation and food facilities in Pithoragarh, to those children who lost their parents in the Dharali disaster. The Society will soon discuss this matter with the Uttarakhand Government through the District Administration to ensure the children’s education is not disrupted.
