Block Chief Elections: Voting Concludes in Seven Development Blocks of Pithoragarh, Results Announced,
Pithoragarh, – Voting for the posts of Block Chief, Senior Deputy Chief, and Junior Deputy Chief was successfully concluded today in seven out of eight development blocks of the district in a peaceful atmosphere. Voting ended at 3:00 PM, followed immediately by the counting of votes and announcement of results.
District Election Officer and District Magistrate Vinod Goswami, along with Superintendent of Police Rekha Yadav, inspected the election process at the Vin Block headquarters and reviewed the arrangements.
The District Magistrate informed that in Munakot development block, the Block Chief, Senior Deputy Chief, Junior Deputy Chief, as well as the District Panchayat President and Vice President, were elected unopposed. Elections in the remaining seven development blocks were conducted in an orderly and peaceful manner.
He congratulated all elected public representatives, expressed gratitude to the residents of the district, and thanked all officials, employees, and police personnel for their active cooperation in ensuring the successful conduct of the elections.
