Pantnagar. Demanding justice in the Ankit murder case, hundreds of villagers from Shantipuri and Jawahar Nagar areas organized a candle march from Jawahar Nagar to Gol Gate main intersection. During the march, protesters raised fierce slogans against the BJP government and demanded a fair investigation into the matter. The procession started from Jawahar Nagar main intersection, reached the Shiv Temple at Gol Gate, where villagers lit candles and prayed to God for the murderers of Ankit to receive the death penalty. The procession then returned to Jawahar Nagar intersection and turned into a public meeting.Addressing the gathering, former Cabinet Rank State Minister Dr. Ganesh Upadhyay, former District President Narayan Singh Bisht, District Panchayat Member Prem Prakash Arya, and former District Panchayat Member Vinod Koranga stated that the BJP government in Uttarakhand is avoiding a CBI probe into the murder of daughter Ankit. They alleged that efforts are being made to protect VIP accused involved in the case.Speakers demanded an impartial CBI investigation into the murder, immediate arrest of the culprits, and the harshest possible punishment. On this occasion, Naresh Bisht, Hem Singh Negi, Heera Singh Koranga, Atul Verma, Dhirendra Panda, Raju Patwal, Shanti Lata, Bhagwati, Pushpa, Champa Rathore, along with a large number of villagers were present. Police security forces were deployed throughout the program to maintain peace.,
