According to meteorologists at Pantnagar University, temperatures in Udham Singh Nagar and surrounding areas will hover around 5°C until the next three days. The forecast for the next 5 days predicts light rainfall of 0-15 mm. Cold winds are blowing at 7-9 km/h.Orange and yellow alerts have been issued for thunder, lightning, storms, hail, and strong surface winds on January 27 and 28. Dense fog is likely on January 29 and 30.Alerts for storms, lightning, strong winds, and surface gusts (orange and yellow) remain active. A yellow alert for dense fog has also been issued for January 29 and 30.In such weather, scientists advise farmers to:Irrigate wheat crops and control pests.Provide irrigation to peas, chickpeas, lentils, and mustard when flowers appear and pods form.Ensure proper drainage for onion crops during rain.Protect potato crops from late blight.Shield animals from the cold and feed them jaggery.
