Successful Conclusion of All India Indian Tree Seniors Tennis Tournament 2025 at Shanti Tennis Academy, Dehradun,,
Dehradun, December 21, 2025: The two-day National Level Indian Tree Seniors Open Tennis Tournament, organized by the Uttarakhand Tennis Association (UTA), Dehradun at Shanti Tennis Academy, successfully concluded in the evening under artificial floodlights.Chief guest Dr. Rahul (dental specialist) and UTA officials distributed the awards. Dr. Rahul was first honored with a commendation plaque presented by UTA Secretary General/Tournament Director Sumit Goyal and Senior Vice President Vijendra Chauhan to SSP Shri Navneet Singh Pauri. Subsequently, Vice President Devendra Singh Rawat, Second Vice President Manoj Gupta, Joint Secretary Hem Kumar Pandey, and Treasurer Dinesh Nagpal awarded trophies to the winners and runners-up.This national-level doubles competition featured four combined age groups (65+, 85+, 105+, and 125+), with a total of 87 players participating from various states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand. A lucky doubles event was also held among players eliminated in the first round.Final Match Results:65+ Category: Sachin Kumar and Lokesh Chug (both Dehradun) defeated Tushar Sharma and Navneet Singh (both Dehradun) 7-5 in the tie-break.85+ Category: Tushar Sharma and Pradeep Walia (both Dehradun) defeated Mohit Fogaat (Sonipat) and Lokesh Chug (Dehradun) 7-3 in the tie-break.105+ Category: Pawan Jain (Delhi) and Mohit Fogaat (Sonipat) defeated Hem Chand Singh Nikhurpa (Jammu) and Vijendra Chauhan (Dehradun).125+ Category: Mukesh Bajaj and Shalaj Agarwal (both Delhi) defeated Anil Agarwal and Manoj Sharma (both Delhi) 8-5.Lucky Doubles Final: Sanhit Jain (Jaipur) and Kamal Nayan Berthwal (Dehradun) defeated Ghananand Juyal and Arjun Sharma (both Dehradun) 8-5.Winners and runners-up across all categories received attractive trophies along with a total prize money of ₹2,00,000 (two lakh rupees). The event’s success was made possible by invaluable contributions from Shanti Tennis Academy, 22 Heights Boutique Stay, Dantkala, Indian Tree, and Asthal. The ceremony was attended by SSP Smt. Navneet Singh (Dehradun), Smt. Nikhurpa, Rajiv Negi, and local spectators. Tournament Director Sumit Goyal concluded by thanking all players and guests.
