Strict Action Against Traffic Violations: 141 Vehicles Challaned in Haldwani,
Haldwani, August 24, 2025: Under the orders of Senior Superintendent of Police Nainital and supervision of the Superintendent of Traffic and City Haldwani, a joint team led by Traffic Inspector Mr. Shivraj Singh, comprising Traffic Police Haldwani and CPU Haldwani, conducted intensive checking from Roadways Station to Sindhi Chowk and Tikonia Chowk in Haldwani city.
During the campaign, challan action was taken against a total of 141 vehicles, including 56 vehicles found parked unauthorized on roadsides, footpaths, and no-parking zones, and 85 vehicles violating other traffic rules.
The traffic police appealed to the general public, vehicle owners, and drivers to cooperate in maintaining smooth traffic management. They specifically urged to avoid parking on roadsides, footpaths, and no-parking zones, not to operate autos, e-rickshaws, and taxis in restricted areas, and to drive vehicles in the correct direction.
The police also made it clear that the campaign against traffic rule violators will continue relentlessly.
This action is expected to improve adherence to traffic rules in Haldwani.
