SSP Nainital Tightens Grip on Lawlessness, Intensive Security Checking Continues at midnight,,

Nainital: Under the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police Prahlad Narayan Meena, a rigorous checking campaign is being conducted daily across the district to curb lawlessness and crime. The SSP personally inspected the checking operations late at night in the city and issued strict instructions to the police team.
Police deployed at various key locations including Kotwali Haldwani, Kathgodam, Mukhani, Banbhoolpura, Bhimtal, Ramnagar, Bhawali, Kaladhungi, Mukteshwar, Lalkuan, Mallital, and Tallital ensured strict enforcement of law and order.
During the checks, action was taken against 416 drivers violating rules, with fines amounting to Rs. 1,10,600 collected. Five persons were arrested for drunk driving. Other offenses included 31 cases of driving without helmets, 16 for over-speeding, 7 for using mobile phones while driving, 18 vehicles seized, and 9 driving licenses cancelled. One person was arrested for serving alcohol at a hotel/dhaba. Additionally, 52 individuals were penalized for consuming drugs in public places, with fines totaling Rs. 27,750.
SSP Meena stated that illegal drug trafficking, criminal activities, and public disorder would not be tolerated under any circumstances. This campaign will continue relentlessly, with the police committed to ensuring public safety.
The police have appealed to the public to cooperate and actively participate in creating a safe, peaceful, and secure environment.
