Road Safety Committee Meeting Held in Nainital, Focus on Preventing Accidents and Improving Traffic Management,

Nainital: An important meeting of the Road Safety Committee was held on Friday at the Collectorate auditorium, where serious discussions took place on preventing road accidents and improving traffic management in Nainital, Haldwani, and Kainchi Dham. The meeting was chaired by Deputy District Magistrate Vivek Rai.

In the meeting, Ratnesh Saxena, Executive Engineer of the Provincial Division of LONI, informed that the committee has initiated actions on nine key points. These include accident prevention, controlling overloading and overspeeding, improving black spots, and overall traffic management enhancements. Special efforts are underway to improve traffic systems on roads in Nainital, Kainchi Dham, and Haldwani.

Additionally, signage boards are being installed in accident-prone areas across the district. Awareness and publicity campaigns related to road safety are being conducted, along with workshops on road safety in all schools.

The meeting was attended by SP Crime and Traffic Dr. Jagdish Chandra, RTO (Enforcement) Haldwani Gurdev Singh, ARTO Ramnagar Reeshu Tiwari, and other departmental officials.

This meeting is expected to strengthen road safety and traffic control measures in the district and help reduce the number of accidents.
