Public Service Camps Successfully Held in Haldwani, Citizens Praise Government Efforts
Haldwani, August 23, 2025: Under the directive of the District Magistrate, public service camps were held successfully in the Haldwani Municipal Corporation area on Saturday, August 23, 2025. These camps took place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Councilor Office of Ward 45 and Amrita Ashram in Ward 46. The initiative aimed at providing quick solutions to citizens’ problems and extending departmental services directly to the public.
During the camps, a total of 40 Aadhaar cards were newly issued or updated. Applications related to the installation of new transformers and electrical poles were received by the Electricity Department, with officials ensuring timely action. The Supply Department registered 11 complaints, mainly concerning new ration cards and addition of names. Applications for marriage registration under the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) were also accepted.
The Municipal Corporation received four complaints, primarily about repairing street lights, which officials assured would be resolved by the evening of the same day. Citizens described the initiative as highly beneficial and expressed gratitude toward the district administration. This event strengthened direct communication between the administration and the public and proved to be an effective effort for prompt issue resolution.
Further public service camps are scheduled for August 25, 2025, at Ward 43 (Second Hand Restaurant near Jeena Bhawan, Chadayal Suyal) and Ward 44 Councilor Office. Citizens are encouraged to participate actively and present their grievances for speedy redressal by authorities.
