Haldwani,,SSP Nainital Issues Directives to All Gazetted Officers for Comprehensive Security and Traffic Arrangements in Line with Meeting InstructionsSSP Issues Strict Order for Police: Suspension for Consuming Alcohol During DutyOn December 30, 2025, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami held an online review meeting with all district police heads across the state to ensure effective police management for the peaceful conduct of 31st and New Year celebrations.In compliance with the directives received in the meeting, SSP Nainital Dr. Manjunath T.C. convened a session with all gazetted officers of the district. Focusing on establishing robust peace, security, and traffic arrangements for these events, he assessed police deployments at various destination points, barriers, mobile duties, and bottleneck points. Comprehensive instructions were issued for security and traffic management.
Strict Orders Issued for Police Personnel on Duty: SSP emphasized that no consumption of alcohol or other intoxicants, negligence, or indiscipline will be tolerated during duty. Immediate suspension action will be taken against any such violations.
Key Directives for Ensuring Security Arrangements:SSP clarified that hooliganism under the guise of celebrations, open drinking, road rage, display of weapons, or any tampering with law and order will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict legal action will be ensured against those involved.
Thoroughly check border areas adjacent to neighboring districts, barriers, and picketing points; deploy adequate police force.
Conduct effective checking/frisking at major tourist spots/destination points using BDS/Dog Squad and ATS teams.
Assess shuttle services and parking arrangements up to tourist sites for smooth tourist movement; establish effective coordination with relevant stakeholders. Deploy sufficient police force at all bottleneck and diversion points.
SSP Communication instructed to activate drone teams at all tourist sites for effective monitoring.
District and City Control Room teams to maintain 24/7 continuous monitoring.
All mobile parties will respond immediately to any incident and inform senior officers about the situation.Notably, Lakeside City Nainital is bustling with tourists ahead of the 31st and New Year festivities.
