Nationalist Regional Party Provides Relief to Disaster Victims in Pauri Garhwal
Pauri Garhwal, August 20, 2025: In a significant relief effort, the Nationalist Regional Party led by the Uttarakhand State President Mrs. Sulochana Ishtwal (Khankariyal) visited the disaster-affected villages of Sanji, Champlodi, Udalakha, and Gwalkhuda in Pauri Garhwal. Along with party officials and members, she met the victims, listened to their grievances, and empathized with their hardships.
Inspired by the special efforts and request of social worker Mr. Ganesh Bhatt (Chofanda), ration, daily essential supplies, and other relief materials were distributed to the affected families. The relief campaign received valuable support from Ajay Negi and Shivani Rawat, directors of Fullwari Foundation, who contributed materials for the effort.
For transportation arrangements, the campaign was assisted by Mr. Anusuya Prasad Uniyal, Vice President of the All India Motor Transport Congress, and Uniyal Transport Corporation. Mrs. Ishtwal expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the relief effort.
Financial contributions played a vital role in this mission. Mr. Sudarshan Singh Rawat, resident of Kedarnath Mohalla, Srinagar Garhwal, donated ₹10,000. Social worker Mr. Rakesh Jali and party official Mrs. Basanti Devi contributed ₹1,000 each. The funds were used to procure necessary food items such as flour, salt, and oil and distributed among the victims. Mrs. Ishtwal sincerely thanked all donors for their generosity.
The event was also covered by senior journalist Shri Vijendra Rana from Parvatjan TV, who engaged with the villagers and disaster survivors, gathered information about the August 6 disaster, and documented the situation through videography.
Key party leaders present during the relief operation included National Vice President Sanjay Dobhal, State Propaganda Secretary Vinod Kothiyal, Women’s Cell Metropolitan President Rajni Jugran (Srinagar), Dehradun Metropolitan President Devendra Gusain, District President Vishan Kandari (Tehri Garhwal), Office Incharge Subhash Nautiyal, and social worker Ganesh Bhatt.
The Gram Sabha expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to all collaborators and participants in the relief work. This campaign has proven to be a vital support for the disaster victims, not only fulfilling their immediate needs but also showcasing community solidarity and compassion
