Nainital Police Alert Ahead of Ramnagar Encroachment Removal; Heavy Forces Deployed to Maintain Peace and Order,,

Ramnagar, December 6, 2025: The process of removing encroachments from Reserved Forest land in the Puchhadi area of Ramnagar is set to begin on December 7, 2025. Nainital police administration is fully prepared to carry out the operation smoothly while ensuring peace and law enforcement.Leading the operation, SSP Nainital Dr. Manjunath T.C. has divided the area into five super zones/zones to establish comprehensive security arrangements. District Police Superintendent Dr. Jagdish Chandra and Deputy Superintendent of Police Haldwani Manoj Kumar Katyal have been appointed as overall in-charge and co-in-charge, respectively. Additionally, area officers from Lalkuan, Ramnagar, Haldwani, and Nainital will oversee their respective zones. Traffic arrangements will be managed by Deputy Inspector Ved Prakash Bhatt.A strong police force has been deployed to maintain peace and security during the encroachment removal, including 3 ASPs, 3 COs, 8 Inspectors/Sub-Inspectors, 55 SI/ASI, 17 Head Constables/Constables, 4 fire units, 3 SDRF teams, 3 tear gas squads, 2 drones, 100 barriers, 3 prison vans, and 8 platoons of PAC.On December 6, District Police Superintendent Dr. Jagdish Chandra conducted a briefing for the police force and instructed them to remain vigilant. Ramnagar’s Station Officer Sushil Joshi has also been directed to make necessary arrangements.SSP Nainital Dr. Manjunath T.C. issued a strong warning stating that strict action will be taken against anyone obstructing the legal process. Preventive detention proceedings are already being implemented against some individuals. Continuous monitoring through videography and drone teams has been established. The police are also closely watching social media and will take strict action against any inflammatory posts or calls to gather crowds.The police administration emphasized that maintaining peace and law and order during the operation is their highest priority, and all necessary measures are being taken to achieve this goal.
