Monkeys Create Chaos in Court Premises, Damage Files in ADGC’s Chamber,

Advocates and staff demand immediate administrative action

Nainital. The menace of monkeys in the district court premises is becoming a serious concern for advocates and employees. On Monday morning, the problem took a disturbing turn when a group of monkeys stormed into the chamber of Additional District Government Counsel (ADGC) Bharat Bhatt and created chaos.

According to ADGC Bhatt, as soon as the chamber door was opened, monkeys rushed inside and tore several important legal files. Not stopping there, they also damaged chairs and other items of furniture kept in the chamber, leaving the office in a state of disarray. The incident also caused inconvenience to litigants present at the time.

Advocates and staff reported that monkey interference has become a routine nuisance in the court premises. Incidents such as snatching files, damaging documents, and even attacking people have been witnessed frequently, disrupting the work environment and posing a threat to the safety of visitors and court employees.

Expressing their anger over the recurring problem, advocates have urged the district administration and municipal authorities to take urgent and effective measures. They warned that if immediate steps are not taken, the regular functioning of the court could be adversely affected.
