Major Transport Department Action in Haldwani – 112 Vehicles Fined, 6 Seized,

Haldwani. Under the direction of Dr. Gurdev Singh, Divisional Enforcement Officer, Haldwani, the Transport Department today conducted an intensive checking drive.
During the operation, a total of 112 vehicles were fined and 6 vehicles were seized, including 3 buses, 2 autos, and 1 e-rickshaw.
Additionally, the fitness certificates of 3 vehicles were suspended.
Areas Covered – Vehicles including buses, trucks, taxis, maxi cabs, e-rickshaws, autos, motorcycles, and cars were inspected on the Haldwani, Kaladhungi, Nainital, and Bareilly routes.
In the Ramnagar region, under the leadership of Assistant Divisional Transport Officer (Enforcement) Ms. Rishu Tiwari, challans were issued to 22 vehicles.

- Violations related to tax, fitness, and permits
- Not wearing helmets
- Overloading
- Mechanical defects in vehicles
- Violation of permit conditions
- Drivers not wearing prescribed uniforms
- Not wearing seat belts
- Over-speeding
