Dehradun: participating in the ‘Ek Shaam Sainikon Ke Naam’ programme at Lok Bhawan on the occasion of Armed Forces Veterans’ Day, honouring gallantry medal winners, paramilitary personnel, and our glorious ex-servicemen was a moment of immense pride for me.This was not just an honour, but an opportunity to express gratitude towards the selfless service, discipline, and sacrifice that our soldiers dedicate the best years of their lives to the nation. A nation that honours its soldiers marches confidently towards a secure, strong, and self-assured future.Uttarakhand’s military tradition is deeply woven into our culture. Our jawans deployed on the borders today and the ex-servicemen guiding society are both invaluable assets to the nation. The coming ‘Amrit Generation’ should draw inspiration from the soldiers’ dedication to duty, discipline, and ‘Nation First’ spirit. The experiences and service mindset of ex-servicemen will infuse new energy into realising the resolve of Viksit Bharat-2047. Salutations to every brave son of the nation.
