,Haldwani Municipal Corporation Launches Online Pet Dog Registration PortalOn August 12, 2025, the Mayor of Haldwani Municipal Corporation, Mr. Gajraj Vist, inaugurated a new online pet dog registration portal. Through this portal, pet dog owners in Haldwani city can now register their dogs from the comfort of their homes.

Main Features of the Portal:

• New Registration: First-time online registration of a pet dog.
• Renewal: Timely renewal of previously registered dogs.
• Status Check: Check the current registration status online.
• Certificate Download: Direct downloading of the registration certificate from the portal.

Mayor Mr. Gajraj Vist stated that this facility will save dog owners from repeatedly visiting the municipal office and will make the process simple and transparent.

Important Note:
If any pet dog owner fails to register their dog by September 30, 2025, they will have to pay a fine of ₹2000.

The registration fee has been fixed at ₹200. After registration, the dog will be provided with either a plastic tag or a microchip for identification and tracking. The process requires the dog’s photo, the owner’s photo, full address, and a one-minute video clip with the dog.

This initiative is aimed at controlling the stray dog population in Haldwani and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the city. Under the new policy, keeping an unregistered dog will attract strict action and fines, raising awareness among owners and helping reduce the stray dog problem.
