Haldwani Launches ‘Jan Suvidha Camps’

Haldwani As per the directions of the District Magistrate, “Jan Suvidha Camps” have been started from 13 August 2025 in various wards of Haldwani municipal region. The first camp was organized in Ward No. 59 and 60 (Gaujajali & Gaujajali North), in the presence of Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Richa Singh, City Magistrate Mr. Gopal Singh Chauhan, and Ward Councilors Mr. Rais Ahmad and Mr. Sanjay Pandey.

Under Aadhaar services, 42 new and updated Aadhaar cards were issued. The electricity department received 5 complaints, of which 4 related to high bills were resolved on the spot, while 1 request for installing a check meter was registered for action. The water department received 7 complaints regarding billing, and work has begun to inspect the water meters concerned. The Food and Civil Supplies Department registered requests related to ration card address changes, name additions, and online processes, forwarding them for prompt action. Applications for marriage registration under the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) were also received.

According to the district administration, these camps will provide citizens with multiple departmental services at one location, saving both time and resources, and ensuring speedy and effective grievance redressal.

The next camp will be held on 14 August at Ward No. 58 (Talli Haldwani – Hari Banquet Hall) and in Manpur North (Krishna Colony, Rampur Road).
