First Responder Training Given to 60 Participants at Medical College Haldwani,

Haldwani, August 29, 2025: In collaboration with Dr. Sushila Tiwari Hospital, the Transport Department organized a first responder training program at Medical College Haldwani to provide immediate assistance to road accident victims. A total of 60 participants, including female students from the Government Women’s Degree College, youth from the District Nehru Yuva Kendra, and vehicle drivers/conductors, took part in the training.

The one-day program provided detailed training on CPR and Basic Life Support Systems, emphasizing skills for providing timely help to injured persons in road accident situations. The training was conducted by Medical Superintendent Dr. G.S. Titial, Dr. Renu Bisht from the Surgery Department, Dr. Diksha from Anesthesia, and the nursing staff.

This training is considered vital for primary medical care in road accidents occurring across the six districts of the Kumaon division. The program was also attended by Transport Department officials, including Assistant Regional Transport Officer Mr. Jitendra Singwan and Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Shyam Singh Latwal. Participants who completed the training were awarded certificates and mementos.

This initiative marks a timely and essential step towards road safety and emergency rescue, ensuring effective and prompt medical aid reaches accident victims.
