Pithoragarh, January 16, 2026 – Aligning with the state government’s citizen-centric welfare policies, the “Government at the Doorstep of Every Citizen” program was held on Thursday in Pithoragarh district. Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya joined the event, personally hearing public grievances at the Nyaya Panchayat level and issuing immediate instructions to officials for resolving hundreds of cases.The program took place at Government Inter College, Satshiling, targeting issues from Nyaya Panchayat Bisa Bajed. A large turnout of villagers—including women, youth, and seniors—participated actively. Attendees voiced their concerns openly and praised the government’s direct outreach.Key Grievances Raised:Repair of damaged roads and drainsFencing to protect crops from wild animalsRegularization of drinking water supplyIssuance of ration cards, Aadhaar, and other official documentsConstruction of check dams for irrigationDevelopment of sports grounds and other basic civic amenitiesMinister Arya requested detailed reports from district officers of relevant departments on-site and ordered instant resolutions for several cases.
