4th M.S. Kunwar Memorial Uttarakhand State Open Tennis Tournament from August 30,

Dehradun. The 4th M.S. Kunwar Memorial Uttarakhand State Open Tennis Tournament will be organized by the Devbhoomi Sports Welfare Foundation Society from August 30 to September 3 at the Tennis Courts of the Parade Ground Sports Complex, Dehradun.

Tournament Director Avinash Kunwar informed that, as every year, this championship is being held under the aegis of the Uttarakhand Tennis Association and will feature competitions in multiple age categories.

Boys’ Categories:
Singles events will be held in Under-8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 categories, while doubles matches will take place in Under-14 and Under-18.

Girls’ Categories:
Matches will be played in Under-14, Under-18, and Open singles, along with Open doubles.

Men’s Categories:
Open singles and doubles, along with 35+, 45+, and 60+ singles and doubles events, will also be contested.

The tournament will witness participation from players of reputed schools and academies of Doon, as well as veteran ITF players. Notable participants include Hem Kumar Pandey and Devendra Bisht (Haldwani), Ritesh Sharma, Aseem Baig, and Rajesh Kumar (Rudrapur), Sumit Goyal (Ranikhet), and from Dehradun – Rajiv Negi, Vijendra Chauhan, H.S. Bisht, S.P. Singh, Lokesh Chugh, and Anil Dhiman.

Avinash Kunwar further informed that players from Kumaon and Garhwal regions who wish to participate can directly register their names for the tournament.
