Strong-arming in Tender Process Backfires: SSP Manjunath TC Takes Immediate Cognizance,

Ramnagar Police Act SwiftlyRamnagar: Attempted intimidation and hooliganism during the PWD department’s tender allocation proved costly for the accused. Dayal Singh Pannu of Bailpadav and six others tried to disrupt the tender process and forcefully claim the tender. On receiving information about the incident, SSP Nainital Manjunath TC immediately directed Station Incharge Sushil Kumar to take prompt action.The police team reached the spot and detained all seven accused. Their vehicles were seized, and a licensed revolver was recovered from Dayal Singh Pannu’s possession. Due to suspicion of potential misuse, the revolver was confiscated and the license cancellation process initiated.SSP Manjunath TC issued a strict warning stating that any interference, intimidation, or disturbance in the government process will not be tolerated. Those disturbing law and order will face action under the Gangster Act and be subjected to district banishment.The detainees are Sajjan Singh, Dayal Singh Pannu, Narendra Singh, Sarvjeet Singh, Vikki Singh, Sukhraj Singh, and Sardool Singh, all residents of Bannakheda.The police team included Sub-Inspector Somendra Singh, Sub-Inspector Dharmendra Singh, Constables Sanjay, Bhupendra, and Talib.This action reflects the administration’s firm commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring a transparent government tender process.
