SSP Nainital Holds Meeting with Mandi Committee and Police Officials, Issues Strict Instructions for Effective Security Arrangements,,

Haldwani,,,On February 16, 2026, Dr. Manjunath T.C., SSP Nainital, convened a meeting at his office in Haldwani with the Secretary of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee Haldwani (Transport Nagar, Bareilly Road) and police officials. The purpose was to establish effective security measures in the Haldwani Mandi area and curb the activities of anti-social elements. Key instructions issued during the meeting include:A joint committee will be formed comprising officials from the Mandi Committee, Fire Department, Police, and Communication stakeholders to conduct a security audit of the Mandi premises.A CCTV grid will be set up for continuous surveillance of the Mandi premises.The Mandi Secretary has been directed to ensure adequate lighting for better visibility.Security personnel will be deployed at the Mandi gate to establish effective security.Verification of all laborers and workers in the Mandi will be conducted. Each trader (arhatia), laborer, or employee will be issued a separate ID card by the Mandi Committee.The canteen in the Mandi premises will remain closed from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM.Access routes, staircases, rooftops, or high places in buildings within the Mandi premises will be sealed off.During the meeting, Shri Manoj Kumar Katiyal (SP Haldwani), Shri Digvijay Singh Dev (Secretary, Agricultural Produce Market Committee Haldwani), Shri Vijay Singh Mehta (In-charge Inspector Haldwani), and other Mandi Committee officials were present.Media Cell
