The weekly Public Hearing Day, held every Monday in the district, was presided over by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Yogendra Singh at the Collectorate Auditorium. Citizens from various remote and rural areas participated and presented their grievances. The ADM listened attentively to all complaints and directed concerned officials to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
A total of 27 complaints were received, covering revenue, drinking water, roads, electricity, education, and other departments. The ADM instructed that all issues be resolved on priority, without unnecessary delays, while emphasizing high-quality solutions for genuine public relief.
Key Issues Raised
Residents of Syuni village demanded road construction in the Syuni Tok Kuthroli/Kharkyagair area, home to about 200 Scheduled Caste families facing severe transportation challenges. The ADM ordered an immediate site inspection and action by the relevant department.
Villagers from Buga Mersolibhat under Moonakot block reported the sudden removal of a 25-year-old public drinking water post serving 6-7 families, causing a water crisis without prior notice. Despite complaints, no resolution was provided. The ADM directed Jal Sansthan officials to verify facts on-site and restore supply urgently.
ADM’s Directives
The ADM described the Public Hearing as a key government initiative for swift grievance redressal. He urged officials to act with sensitivity, transparency, and accountability, warning against negligence.
He further instructed regular reviews of pending cases, timely quality disposal, progress monitoring, and feedback to complainants to build public trust in the administration.,,
